Shisha dates back to the beginning of the 17th century. Popular in the entire Arab world and also beyond, it is known under many names: shisha, hookah, narghile - or simply a water pipe. Formerly it was made of sliver with a crystal container for water, today it is also richly embellished and constitutes a very decorative object of common use. The tobacco, heated by glowing coal, creates smoke which is filtered in the water container.
The characteristic sweetish and exceptionally delicate smoke is inhaled through a long pipe. The tobacco used in water pipes differs significantly from cigarette tobacco - it is much weaker, damp, usually aromatised by fruit and honey. Is shisha legal?
